A common problem are noisy wheel bearings: Water is getting into the wheel bearing due to a damaged sealing washer and rust is forming. The sealing washer located between the CV joint and the wheel hub is made of plastic and is easily damaged during removal or due to external factors. When the sealing washer is damaged, water can get inside the wheel bearing more easily once the sealing washer is damaged or dirty.
